Samburu National Park

Samburu National Reserve, located in Kenya’s remote northern region, provides a more rugged and off-the-beaten-path safari experience. The reserve is known for its unique wildlife species, often referred to as the “Samburu Special Five,” which include the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts a variety of animals, including large elephant herds, while predators such as lions and leopards are frequently spotted. Samburu also offers rich cultural experiences with the local Samburu community, adding depth to the safari journey.
